When air passes, if the heating wire installed in the heating bracket in the air nozzle has been energized and heated, it is hot air that is blown out; If the selector switch does not energize the heating wire, cold air is blown out. This is how the hair dryer achieves the purpose of drying and shaping.


The selector switch on the handle of the hair dryer is generally divided into three gears, namely the closed gear, the cold air gear, and the hot air gear, and is accompanied by a sign with white, blue, and red colors. Some hair dryers are also equipped with a motor speed control switch on the handle for selecting the size of the air volume and the temperature of the hot air. Behind or on the side of the shell of all kinds of hair dryers, there is a rotatable circular air conditioner, which can be rotated to adjust the cross-section size of the air inlet, and the speed of the conveyed wind and the temperature of the hot air can be adjusted.
According to the mode of use, there are handheld and support hair dryers. The support hair dryer can be placed on the table or hung on the wall, so you can blow your own air.

According to the air supply mode, there are centrifugal hair dryers and axial flow hair dryers. The centrifugal type relies on the motor to drive the fan blades to rotate, so that the air entering the hair dryer obtains inertial centrifugal force and continuously exhausts the air outward. Its disadvantage is that the exhausted wind does not all flow through the motor, and the motor heats up higher; The advantage is that the noise is lower.
The axial motor drives the fan blades to rotate, pushes the air entering the hair dryer to flow axially, and continuously exhausts the air outward. Its advantage is that all the exhausted wind flows through the motor, the motor cooling conditions are good, and the insulation is not easy to age; Its disadvantage is that it is louder.


According to the material used in the shell, there are metal type hair dryers and plastic type hair dryers. Metal hair dryers are robust and can withstand higher temperatures. Plastic hair dryers are light in weight and have good insulation performance, but they are easy to age and have poor high temperature resistance.
